Diannan Lu

My research program addresses a range of topics in the field of biochemical engineering with special interests in fundamentals of biomolecules in confinements and its potential application in solving emerging problem in resource, energy, environment and health. We employ multi-scale computational technique and theoretical methods rooted in statistical mechanics and density functional theory, as well as experiments in bioreaction and bioseparation, to study problems such as 1) nano-flow; 2) biocatalyst; 3) biomacromolecular drugs; and 4) bioremediation of contaminated soil.
