 Research Interests: 
      Developing micro-process  approaches toward composites with tunable microstructure and macroscopic  morphology, including colloids, capsules and porous materials. Understanding the  micro-process physics and chemistry.Performance of the  composites.Commercialization of the  approaches for practical applications. The composites involve the  following: 1) Colloids: complex composite ones and Janus ones etc, applications  for new diagnosis and therapy; 2) Micro-encapsulation for phase change  materials, fire retardant agents, and bio-active species, application for  energy conservation, composites and artificial cells; 3) Nanofibers and  nanotubes of composites, and applications in high performance materials,  energy, water treatment, environment treatment and detoxification; 4) Flexible  mesostructured organic/inorganic hybrid materials, and applications in  nanosized separation, flexible display.
