Brief Introduction:

Prof. Tao WANG has worked in the Department since 1994. Prior to that he worked at Laboratory of Process Equipment, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. During Jun. 1998 to Feb. 2000, he was a visiting lecturer of Research Center of Supercritical Fluid Technology, Tohoku University, Japan.

 

Research Interests:

His research specializes in the field of Supercritical FluidsIonic Liquids, Green Chemical Processes and Products,  Confined Equilibrium and Transport Phenomena,  Nanostructured Materials and Conductive Inks. Works are focused on the following aspects:

1. Fundamentals of dissolution, transport and reaction in supercritical fluids

2. Supercritical carbon dioxide technologies, including extraction, reaction, drying and material processing

3. Synthesis and applications of ionic liquids

4. Supercritical water technologies and their applications

5. Nanoparticles and nanostructured materials

6. Conductive inks for printed electronics

4. Scale-up of Supercritical Water Oxidation
